Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Purpose
Assembly of industrial air compressor and vacuum products with engineered controls while staying focused on Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Customer Expectations.
Key Job Functions/Duties
- Basic Mechanical Skills
- Assembly/Disassembly of mechanical components
- Use of tools- drill, ratchet, wrench, screwdrivers wire cutters, ferrule guns, and hammer
- Use of tape measurer
- Basic Electrical Skills
- Control Wiring
- Motor Wiring
- Read electrical schematics with assistance
- Basic Plumbing Skills
- Copper tube flaring
- Thread taping
- Read a Bill of material (BOM) and Drawings
- Install motors and pumps per drawings, process sheets, and schematics
- Wire electrical panels, motors, and electrical components per schematics
- Follow test procedures to ensure units work properly
- Prepare finished units for shipment
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area (5S)
- Maintain accurate records of scrap components (DMR)
- Additional job responsibilities can be added at the discretion of the supervisor
Skills Required
- Maintain a high level of work ethic to ensure tasks are completed in the man hours allotted
- Performing mechanical tasks, ability to use hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints, flow charts, and wiring schematics
- Ability to develop working relationships and work with other areas of the company
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literacy
Required
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
